UM Botanical Gardens 

The Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum hold a gorgeous collection of plants and lush landscapes, made up of unique outdoor gardens, three miles of scenic outdoor trails and an indoor multi-climate conservatory housing tropical plants we normally don’t get to experience living in Michigan. 

This is a great educational activity kids will love, and it can also be a romantic and photogenic spot for a date night! It’s open every day from sunrise to sunset, and admission is free. 

Ann Arbor Art Fair 

Located in the heart of Ann Arbor, the annual Art Fair draws in a crowd close to half a million attendees over the course of three days! It’s the largest juried art fair in the nation, and features nearly 1,000 artists and covers 30 city blocks in downtown Ann Arbor. 

You’ve got to see it! 

There is an endless line of tents showing off original works of art, street performances, delicious street food and a variety of sidewalk sales so you can shop til you drop. 

This year, it starts on July 18th and runs through July 20th. Admission is free and we highly recommend that you check it out because it is Ann Arbor’s biggest event of the year!

• May 19-June 16: Brazil Resource Drive · Drop-off at Grace Ann Arbor: In June they are sending a team on a medical mission boat on the Amazon River to provide medical care, Vacation Bible School, and other valuable training (such as CPR, basic first aid, and more) to people in villages that are only accessible by boat. They aren't sending the team empty-handed: they will be collecting the following items to send with them. *Any abundance of supplies will be given to Hope clinic in Ypsilanti. **New items only.
• Event on Main: Main Street in Ann Arbor shuts down on the night of June 13th so people can enjoy great food and dance the night away in support of the Little Victors at University of Michigan’s Health C.S. Children’s Mott Hospital. Proceeds for this event go to the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund, which enables doctors and scientists to take on the most devastating childhood conditions and diseases.
